Your plans for 2020 likely included a vacation for the family. A trip to Europe, a visit to Yellowstone, maybe a tropical location with beaches and poolside service. Due to the coronavirus and COVID-19, all of those plans are gone.
You're now feeling stuck and disappointed and with a family who is itching to break free of the house but cautious in doing so. You all wear masks, practice social distancing but are wondering when you will be able to take a vacation again...and how? What kind of social distancing vacation can you take that doesn't include camping? How about a family project that culminates in fun drives? Imagine yourself driving through the hills, with the top down and the wind in your hair. You shift from 3rd to 4th and feel the engine purr and the road roar. Imagine your loved one laughing, pointing out interesting scenery and enjoying a warm summer day. Now imagine that you can do this every summer with your very own Porsche.
During the day you can learn about your Porsche with your family, tinker, and develop skills with your loved ones. You can then decide on interesting routes, places to explore and experience the ultimate staycation. The backseats may be small, but you can create a 1x1 bond with family members by taking each individually on "exploreacations".
While your beach vacation may no longer be feasible, you can invest that money on a long-term vacation instead. Explore your backyard and fall in love with your town again. A trip to Italy will never bond your family the way learning and exploring will.
Introducing the 1990 Porsche 911 Carrera 4.
Feel like James Bond in a linen white and black classic air-cooled Porsche. The seats are the original leather with linen accents and are in excellent shape. Must love the classic "bug light" look and rear engine. Must be ready to own a unique car that turns heads. This is the only version of this car available in North America. You'll want to drive every day just to hear the engine and smell that unique German car smell.
This is a driver's car - it is not perfect, which is why your family will bond over learning and potentially fixing items you find interesting. It runs well now but you could learn to install a starter switch on the battery, change the oil, learn about electrical work, condition the leather seats, etc. The wheels are not original, they are larger Boxer wheels....do you want to learn about the history? Maybe try and find original wheels?
If you're being safe by staying home, why not take the time to learn something new, have fun with your family, and invest in a future of vacations?
